An approach on an urban farm within the city of Knoxville coming together
from a semester full of research and design. The research was centered
around the typologies of a barn which would be placed in the urban site.

Through design experiments, lines structured conditions between research

Three major stages of development have layered structure (top, middle,
and bottom), circulation (fast, medium, and slow), and enclosure (inside,
outside, in between), towards the ultimate goals of tectonic and thermodynamic
resolution.

Broken into groups, the focuses from individuals came together to create
a structural grid based on the approaches to the different maps. It was
combined with the class and three parts of a structure were formed: truss,
grid, foundation.

The structure was edited to what main parts of the research should be
highlighted and it was taken to plan views. The elevations schematically
bring together the floor plans and the interaction the Urban Farm will be
projected to the community and the city.
