South Pittsburg is a town of around 3,500 people that is located near Chattanooga. Th roughout the project, there was a focus on the revitalization of the African American community through architectural ideas as well as the main street community. Th e site is on an urban lot along the main street but on the end not connecting it with the rest.

Next to our lot is a restaurant and through communicating with the owner and taking trips to the town, it was important for the design to have a connection with  them. Th e entrance and the façade facing the current restaurant, was the main focus to have people gather around these areas. Th e highlight in the design was a three story glass box that looks out to the other restaurant giving interior space to eat but still feeling connected.
