Distortion through amplification experienced in a place. An investigation into the clear and the distorted that are produced by architecture moments, reflecting both light and water to distort or make a clear picture. The building makes the light and water distort and stand still through the building itself. It also explores the dichotomy between the tourists and the residents on Suomelinna and the perception the place has while on the island. A place to experience, through the eyes of only the residents of Suomelinna, it is an architectural exploration to test new ways to build around water and light.
This project was a 3 week long design exercise done on my study abroad to Helsinki, Finland looking into water and light.
